• The ICMR will provide one time financial assistance for thesis of Rs. 50,000/- to selected candidates pursuing postgraduate courses (MD/MS/DM/MCh/MDS/DNB/DrNB).

• Number of Awards: Limited to 100 per year (50 per batch of June and December) (No. of Awards for MDS is limited to 10%) i.e. 45 seats for Medical and 05 seats for Dental.

• Eligibility: Medical/Dental graduates who are admitted to the Post graduation course (NMC/DCI/NBE recognized) Medical dental Institute/ College and who wish to avail ICMR Award for financial assistance for pursuing their thesis research project.

• Candidate must be an Indian citizen. Candidate must submit Aadhar card copy for the Award payment.

• Upper age limit: 45 years of age (on last date of application).

• Duration : Three and a half years from the date of issue of Award letter by ICMR.

• The Award amount will be released after submission of the UNDERTAKING as well as the MANDATE form (formats enclosed) by the selected candidates WITHIN SIX WEEKS for receiving e-payment along with a photocopy of cancelled cheque for purpose of verification of the concerned bank account where money is to remitted.
